On September 24, within the framework of the UN General Assembly, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the bilateral agenda, the deepening of the A-EU partnership, and regional topics.
"We highly appreciate Germany's support for the continuous effective implementation of democratic reforms in Armenia, both directly bilaterally and on the EU platform. This brings Armenia closer to the European Union; we are exploring new perspectives of cooperation," the RA Foreign Minister emphasized.
Both sides noted that RA-EU cooperation is developing in several important directions, reflected in the new RA-EU partnership agenda.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Germany made a detailed reference to the regional developments.
In the context of the security situation in the South Caucasus, thoughts were exchanged on the latest developments in regulating Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that at this moment, there is a real possibility of concluding a peace treaty, for the realization of which a strong political will is needed, which Armenia has clearly expressed.
