The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Italy discussed regional issues

On September 23, within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Italian Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

The interlocutors discussed regional developments and referenced the steps taken by RA to establish peace in the South Caucasus. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia has a clear political will to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in a short period, which was the aim of Armenia's last proposal regarding the draft treaty.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the RA's vision of ensuring regional stability is based on unconditional respect for territorial integrity, principles of inviolability of borders, and initiatives aimed at economic interdependence.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Italy also referred to the prospects of deepening the RA-EU partnership.
