The United States is proud to continue to stand by Armenia. Blinken

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's congratulatory message on the occasion of RA Independence Day:

"On behalf of the United States of America, I send congratulations and warm wishes to the people of Armenia on your Independence Day. As the first country to recognize Armenia's independence, the United States is proud to continue to stand by Armenia as it becomes a thriving member of our democratic community.

Working with the United States and international partners, Armenia has created an inclusive economy that is increasingly connected to the world. Trade between the USA and Armenia has doubled over the last ten years. We are working to diversify Armenia's energy resources and ensure the energy security of its population and region.

The bonds between our peoples, the foundation of our relationship, continue to grow and strengthen, bolstered by a solid Armenian diaspora in the United States and worldwide. Working together, we can create greater prosperity for our people and the region, making the South Caucasus more interconnected, stable, and secure.

As we mark this important day, the United States remains unwavering in its support for the democratic aspirations, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Armenian people.

We respect Armenia's commitment to accountable governance and the rule of law in times of serious challenges. We will continue to defend a stable and dignified peace in the South Caucasus region."
