"We have not set the issue of reducing trade ties with the Russian Federation and EAEU." Prime Minister

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that Armenia has set a problem not to reduce the volume of trade with the Eurasian Economic Union but to increase the volume with the EU to diversify its economy.

According to him, Armenia's relations with the EU have been active before. "We have not set a problem that we should reduce or break our trade ties with EAEU or Russia."

Referring to the possibility of joining the EU, he said that one should be very careful when formulating problems so that new disappointments are avoided among the people on the way to their solution. In this context, he also emphasized the relations of the region's countries with the EU, considering that Armenia does not have a direct land border with the EU. "Armenia is a member of the EAEU without having a common border with the EAEU," he said.
