US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 12 and reaffirmed the importance of a stable and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as stated in the statement of Matthew Miller, press secretary of the US State Department.

Secretary of State Blinken welcomed recent progress between the parties, including an agreement on border demarcation settlement. Secretary of State Blinken and Prime Minister Pashinyan discussed expanding Armenian-American relations, including cooperation in energy, trade and investment, and education. The Secretary of State reaffirmed the United States' commitment to continued efforts to support a prosperous, democratic, and independent Armenia that benefits the people of Armenia and the broader Caucasus region," the statement said.
