Alen Simonyan expressed hope that Luxembourg will invest efforts in the return of Armenian prisoners
On September 9, RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan received the delegation led by Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, noting that Armenia attaches great importance to the strengthening of Armenian-Luxembourgish relations on both bilateral and multilateral cooperation platforms.
"Armenia highly values the role of parliamentary diplomacy in the dynamic development of high-level political dialogue between the two countries, and we are ready to deepen these relations," the RA NA Speaker noted.
Xavier Bettel, for his part, thanked the Speaker of the RA NA for the warm reception and emphasized that Luxembourg is next to Armenia on the way to European integration.
RA NA Speaker Xavier Bettel presented Armenia's vision of achieving peace in the region and also referred to the issue of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan. Alen Simonyan expressed hope that Luxembourg will make efforts to return Armenian prisoners to Armenia. Many other matters of bilateral interest were also discussed at the meeting.
