Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan disclosed details of the negotiations with Azerbaijan. Referring to the issue of delegating the control of the road connecting Syunik Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan to a private holding company, he noted that the problem is under discussion. He answered positively about whether Azerbaijan should have a corresponding company for that option.
He said that there is no additional information about what nationality representatives should be in the private custody company. "It was only talked about the possibility of it." When asked whether this would violate the principle of sovereignty, he said, "No, of course. The rest depends on the details. The company can serve." He said Armenian border guards and customs officers will also be standing there.
Safaryan also announced that Armenia will participate in the BRICS summit, which will be held in October.
