The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, spoke with the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on the telephone.
Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated Seyed Abbas Araghchi on his appointment as Foreign Minister and wished him success in his new critical mission.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the agenda of bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, emphasizing the readiness of both sides to make continuous efforts towards further strengthening of friendly ties and strong partnership in areas of mutual interest. Reference was made to upcoming programs.
The RA Foreign Minister noted that the Armenian side highly appreciates the Republic of Iran's firm position regarding the inviolability of the Republic of Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
