"Margara checkpoint has been ready to serve for a long time." Chairman of SRC

"The Margara checkpoint has long been ready to serve citizens of third countries and persons with diplomatic passports," announced SRC President Rustam Badasyan.

When asked when they will be served, he said a political decision is needed.

"The customs office had to be built, and it was built. There was a preliminary agreement, and we worked within it. We brought the point to a ready state, and when there is a political decision, we are ready to serve," he said.

Badasyan said he needed more information about the work at the Turkish customs point. "Maybe their point doesn't need additional work, or it does; I can't say."
