Elchin Amirbekov, a representative of the President of Azerbaijan who is in charge of special assignments, announced that Baku has made significant progress in peace negotiations with Yerevan.
"We have made significant progress towards concluding a peace agreement. We have never been so close to it," said Amirbekov.
According to him, Baku and Yerevan now have a historic opportunity to turn that chapter of hostility and deal with the change in the situation in the South Caucasus region and make it a place of neighborliness, stability, and peace.
