On July 29, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's working visit to Cyprus started at the annual conference of the heads of Cyprus' diplomatic missions, in which Minister Mirzoyan participated. The latter was held at the invitation of the Cyprus Foreign Minister and attended by around 50 ambassadors and the leadership of the Foreign Ministry.

Minister Mirzoyan made an introductory speech, after which he answered several questions that interested the attendees.

The head of the RA foreign political department thanked the Cypriot minister for the invitation, which is the first of its kind. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized. "We enjoy excellent relations with Cyprus, and we can state without doubt that our cooperation in various fields has already reached the level of strategic partnership. The dynamics of cooperation and the deep understanding of each other's positions are extraordinary. With my colleague Minister Kombos, we have agreed to promote cooperation further, and Armenia plans to establish a permanent diplomatic representation in Cyprus. I believe this will provide new opportunities to continue to combine efforts and expand the scope of cooperation."

Next, Minister Mirzoyan presented RA's foreign policy priorities, the steps to implement them, democratic reforms, and cooperation with international partners. Ararat Mirzoyan also pointed out the existing challenges, which are also regional. Reference was also made to the processes of normalization of relations with the neighbors, including the efforts made towards finalizing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan and the importance of concluding it. The opportunities to be provided through implementing the "Crossroads of Peace" program developed by the RA government were brought to the attention of those present.
