The American political consultant intends to start consulting support in the Ministry of Defense in the coming months. "Freedom"

The civilian adviser of the US Department of State intends to start consulting support in the coming months, and the US Embassy said "Freedom" in response to the question of when precisely the US representative will begin working in the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Recently, in an interview with "Hetk," US Deputy Secretary of State Azra Zeya said that the representative of the American army would work in the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

The embassy clarified that the Global Defense Reform Program consultant is not funded by the US Army or the Department of Defense. The State Department provides funding, and the consultant will support strengthening Armenia's defense institutions.

"The US Department of State's Global Defense Reform Program supports partner states around the world in building more resilient, effective, and accountable security institutions, providing strategic level advisory support," the US Embassy in Armenia said.

Where exactly will the consultant be located in the Ministry of Defense? According to the embassy, ​​the consultant will work in Armenia and have "regular working contacts with the embassy and the Ministry of Defense."

"Through advisory support, the United States intends to support Armenia in improving the management of the security sector, which in turn will contribute to the strengthening of Armenian-American relations," the embassy's written response stated.

The US Embassy also has a military attaché in Armenia.
