NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan, while referring to the peace treaty negotiations with Azerbaijan, emphasized that Armenia has political weight and physical borders through which unblocked transport routes must pass. "If Armenia has the will, it will happen; if it does not, it will not. I don't think that it is a good idea to speak with RA in the language of force." According to him, peace cannot be forced. "If there is a violation of the balance, it cannot be long-term."
He said that the Border Delimitation Commission is working usually. "There is no freezing of the process. Working mode continues."
Arshakyan also assured us that all Armenian territories would be returned to Armenia at the end of the demarcation process. "If the process is carried out 100%, all Armenian territories will be returned to Armenia, and Azerbaijani territories will be transferred to Azerbaijan. We cannot look fragmentarily if we intend to have a delimited territory and long-term peace. If we look fragmentarily, it cannot lead to anything constructive."
As for how certain he is that the process will be complete, he said. "My impression is positive; I think the works are happening."
