Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan received the delegation led by Ambassador Erin Miki, Head of the Europe and Eurasia Bureau of the USAID.
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the implementation process of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, referring to its political, transport, energy, and other components. The technical and economic feasibility analysis of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative implemented with USAID support was highlighted. The parties also exchanged views on developing the capital market and opportunities for promoting trade.
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan presented the works to ensure the housing and employment of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, referring to the RA government's efforts to ensure stable and dignified living conditions for them.
In this process, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized cooperation with USAID, especially regarding employment promotion.
The parties also exchanged views on public administration reforms, digital transformation, strategic communication, and cooperation in disaster risk management. They emphasized the importance of capacity building and increasing institutions' resilience.
