On July 11, RA NA Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan met with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, President of the IRI Mejlis, at the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg.
The Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly congratulated the interlocutor on the successful holding of the extraordinary presidential elections held in the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of Armenian-Iranian relations. Ruben Rubinyan emphasized that the Armenian-Iranian partnership has been based on friendship and brotherhood for thousands of years.
The investment of joint efforts in the direction of further development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was highlighted. Issues related to Armenia-Iran inter-parliamentary cooperation, regional security, and peace were discussed at the meeting.
