On July 10, RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan received Dr. Arnold Kammel, General Secretary of the Federal Minister of Defense of the Republic of Austria, the Ministry's Director of Defense Policy.
The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Austria to Armenia, Thomas Mühlmann, also participated in the meeting.
Prospects of defense cooperation between Armenia and Austria were discussed.
Suren Papikyan presented the course of defense reforms implemented in Armenia and, in that context, the scope of international cooperation.
Issues related to regional security were also discussed.
