US Senator Roger Wicker said that forces in this region are trying to destroy democracy and freedom. "Armenia is showing great determination in this matter to prevent this, and now more than ever, it is clear that the government and the people of Armenia here want to see a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan."
He also appealed to Azerbaijan's partners and OSCE members, saying, "Beware of what unification with Putin's Russia can lead to. I want to advise our friends in Azerbaijan to try to understand the price of freedom and the value of freedom. Be careful that the big Russian bear does not once again try to occupy a dominant position over the former USSR."
