The General Secretary of Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation is in Armenia
RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan received Lazăr Comănescu, Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (OBSEC), on July 1.
Welcoming the interlocutor, Alen Simonyan emphasized the importance of the meeting and noted that Armenia pays excellent attention to regional cooperation and integration processes.
Lazăr Comănescu, in turn, thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly for the reception and congratulated Armenia on assuming the organization's presidency. He expressed hope that the organization would be able to achieve the goals set during Armenia's presidency.
The Speaker of the RA National Assembly also presented to Lazăr Comănescu the "Crossroads of Peace" project initiated by the Armenian government and the new opportunities its implementation provides for the countries of the region.
The interlocutors also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
