The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Victor Richter, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany, to Armenia, in connection with completing the diplomatic mission. The President thanked the ambassador for his activities during his tenure and efforts to deepen Armenian-German relations.
"Of course, I also hope that you will visit Armenia, and we will be happy to meet you," President Khachaturyan said, wishing Viktor Richter success in his future activities.
The President of the Republic noted that Armenia highly values dynamically developing relations with Germany."I am sure that this form of cooperation, which we have chosen, based on mutual trust and implementation of the agreements reached, will continue. I want to emphasize that we are convinced that the Republic of Armenia cannot develop without democracy and democratic values," the President said.
The ambassador thanked me for the reception and kind words.
"The years of diplomatic service in Armenia were full of great and deep impressions, which I will fondly remember. I also witnessed the further growth of the already effective bilateral relations between our two countries," the ambassador said.
At the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the current agenda of bilateral relations and issues of close cooperation within the framework of the European Union. Reference was made to efforts to achieve regional security and sustainable peace.
The parties noted that Armenia and Germany have great potential for deepening cooperation and can implement mutually beneficial projects in the economy, investments, and other fields. The steps towards the further development of inter-parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries were highly appreciated by both sides.
During the conversation, the continuation of democratic reforms in Armenia was emphasized, in connection with which the ambassador emphasized Germany's willingness to provide the necessary support in the future to the process of establishing democratic institutions in Armenia.
