At a press conference with his counterpart in Lithuania, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the negotiations on the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
"It is now essential to ensure the continuity of distinction based on the same Alma-Ata Declaration and reaffirmation of mutual recognition of territorial integrity, as this is vital to clarify the border and avoid any provocation in the future. The signing of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is also significant. We have sent many constructive proposals to the Azerbaijani side, and we are ready to finalize them and sign the contract within the next month, as we have already proposed.
Unfortunately, we have not received an answer to this proposal from the Azerbaijani side. Moreover, Azerbaijan is raising new issues, which at the very least raises questions about their sincerity toward our and the wider region's ultimate goal of peace," the minister said.
