Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Latvia were held in Yerevan. Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan headed the Armenian delegation, and Deputy State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Anjes Vilumsons headed the Latvian delegation.
The interlocutors touched upon a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations and emphasized the need to expand the bilateral legal and contractual framework to invigorate ties in trade, economy, culture, education, tourism, and other fields.
The parties discussed cooperation within the framework of international organizations, issues related to the dynamically developing RA-EU partnership agenda, and the latest regional and global developments.
The RA Deputy Foreign Minister presented to the interlocutor the latest developments in regulating Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, including the RA's efforts to sign a peace treaty and the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the RA government.
