Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Estonian ambassador

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received Rina Kalyurand, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Armenia, in connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission.

Welcoming the guest, President Khachaturyan thanked the ambassador for his efforts in strengthening and developing relations between the two countries during his diplomatic service.

The president noted the continuity of practical cooperation between Armenia and Estonia: "I highly appreciate the current level of collaboration between our countries, as well as your efforts to promote cooperation between our countries and the support that Estonia has shown for Armenia in a difficult period."

Expressing gratitude for the reception and warm words, the ambassador noted that relations between Armenia and Estonia are developing dynamically thanks to bilateral efforts.

During the meeting, issues related to democratic reforms and opportunities to exchange exemplary experiences in establishing state institutions were discussed. The importance of consistent application of the principles of democracy from the point of view of further development of the countries was emphasized.

The issue of further expanding practical cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union, was mentioned.

During the conversation, thoughts were exchanged about the regional situation and developments. In this context, the imperative to solve the existing problems through peaceful negotiations and within the framework of international fundamental rights and principles was emphasized.
