The US Embassy in Armenia issued a statement regarding the Armenian demonstrations.
"The US Embassy is following the ongoing demonstrations in Yerevan.
We urge protesters to exercise their right to freedom of assembly in a responsible manner, refraining from violence. The resolution of political differences is ensured through democratic processes.
We also encourage the law enforcement officers to maintain public order by ensuring citizens' right to freedom of speech and assembly and to investigate all incidents in which there were possible violations of procedures, including those related to journalists covering the demonstrations," the statement said.
