RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that there is a misunderstanding regarding the demarcation process. "When you say that Azerbaijan demanded... What is happening? The demarcation process is an initiative of our government to record the sovereign territory of Armenia. I have said this several times, if not very directly, at least indirectly.
According to Pashinyan, the views of the people of Voskepar were considered in the demarcation process. "We also talked with the people of Berkaber because there are certain differences of perception here, and we implemented it according to that logic."
According to the Prime Minister, if the territorial integrity of the countries is recognized, all other issues, including the unblocking of regional roads, will be resolved. "Your logic is that there should be a peace agreement and everything else. It can be the opposite as well. Real peace can be formed by concrete, practical actions, as a result of which a peace agreement will be formulated. But our perception is that there should be a peace agreement," he said, adding that the problem they want to solve is complex and multi-layered. Therefore, it is not possible to move forward with textbook approaches. "But, on the other hand, I agree that the principles should be fixed and kept."
