The OSCE Minsk Group is like an icon of our political thought. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in response to the question of Armen Rustamyan, deputy of the Armenia faction.
"But we understand that since February 2022, and before that, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the members of the OSCE Minsk Group do not talk to each other. In other words, the OSCE Minsk Group, as such, de facto does not exist," he said.
Pashinyan also noted that one of the critical points of the negotiation process since 2016 was the dissolution of Nagorno-Karabakh. "Ultimately, you will react or face what I said somehow. Are you ready to go, sit down, look through the papers?" According to Pashinyan, the issue of the agenda of the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh was brought forward until the moment when the partners of Nagorno-Karabakh refused the agenda. The Prime Minister noted that from 1998 to 2018, the government deceived the people, saying that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh is possible outside of Azerbaijan. "It was impossible. Knowing that it is impossible, they blurred and scattered it like this. Pardon my expression; we naively believed in it and said how. We believed. We believed in your agenda after 1998. And that is our mistake. We have read it. My failure is that I couldn't convince myself that I should tell everyone the truth, and you know why? I realized that if I bring out the speech, further consequences will be linked; they will say that it collapsed the Armenian speech, and everything happened because of that."
