On May 29, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Armenia, Salman Abd Al-Rahman Al Al-Sheikh (residence: Tbilisi), in connection with handing over a copy of his credentials.
Congratulations, Ambassador Salman Abd Al-Rahman Al Al-Sheikh, on assuming the mission. Vahan Kostanyan considered establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last November an important milestone. In this regard, the deputy minister expressed his belief that the ambassador's accreditation will contribute to strengthening and developing relations between the two countries.
Both sides noted a significant potential for bilateral cooperation. The parties have expressed their willingness to make maximum efforts to expand multi-level cooperation. The organization of mutual high-level visits and the formation of the legal framework between the two countries were also highlighted.
During the meeting, the deputy minister presented to the interlocutor Armenia's efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region, as well as the efforts to unblock the region's economic and transport channels. The deputy minister also briefly touched on the latest developments in relations between Armenia and neighboring countries.
