"Every day is a wonderful opportunity to sign a peace treaty. The problem is that agreements should be reached on the text of the peace treaty, and I hope they will be reached," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the possibility of signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan within the framework of the COP-29 events.
According to him, the main principles have already been agreed upon, and they remain to be reproduced in the text of the peace agreement. "We have the opportunity to finish that work a day earlier."
He said that he was referring to the statements coming from Baku. "The president of Azerbaijan made statements that they are loyal to the Prague agreements, they are loyal to the Alma Ata declaration, and it was symbolic that the foreign ministers' meeting took place in Alma Ata." According to him, some nuances and questions are not secret but work. "Those subtleties also have subtleties in their turn."
He noted that there is a significant change in the atmosphere. "But it still does not mean that we have reached the finish line, and it remains to sign."
