They discussed issues related to bilateral partnership between Armenia and France

On May 27, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation headed by Georges Siffredi, President of the French department of Aude-de-Seine.

The interlocutors discussed issues related the to multi-layered bilateral partnership between Armenia and France, including decentralized cooperation.

Mminister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenian-French relations are effectively developing in a number of key areas at different levels and formats.

The head of the RA foreign political qdepartment added that parallel to the political dialogue at a high level, programs are being implemented, which are aimed at strengthening the resistance of RA in general, as well as ensuring tangible results for the beneficiaries of specific programs. In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the O-de-Seine Department referred to the current programs of decentralized cooperation and the prospects for further expansion.

Emphasizing that the economic development and capacity building of the RA border region is one of the priorities of the RA government, Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the cooperation of the Aude-de-Seine Department with the Tavush region and the contribution of Georges Sifredi in that matter. Ararat Mirzoyan also presented yesterday the consequences of the flood in the northern regions of Armenia, including the Tavush region.
