"In the modern world, there is no more effective guarantee than a delimited border," said the prime minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced today in Kirantsi that not a single millimeter of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia has been left beyond the border.

"This is a vital record because, I repeat, we are not drawing a new border, but we are reproducing the de jure border that had legal significance at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union. No word can be added or subtracted from this sentence, and we follow that logic," Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister noted that the regulation will be adopted at this moment, and the commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan will decide in what order the border demarcation will be carried out.

"There are certain problems surrounding the peace agreement; the works are ongoing, and more detailed work should be carried out, and the issue should be resolved. During the last months, several times at the highest level, Baku has made a statement and recorded that they are loyal to the Prague agreements and the Alma-Ata declaration," Pashinyan noted.

The Prime Minister responded to the observation that the main concern is related to security, specifically in Kirantsi. Are there any guarantees for the residents of the village? "Yes, we are creating the guarantees now. We are now building that security guarantee pillar by pillar. In addition to the road, another security structure will be built in this area; perhaps it is not excluded that we build a wall here. But I want to draw your attention to the fact that there is no more effective guarantee in the modern world than the delimited border and legitimacy," Pashinyan said.
