The President of the Republic of Armenia awarded the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg with the Medal of Gratitude

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received the delegation led by the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Claude Wiseler. Welcoming the guests, President Khachaturyan specifically said:

"I am glad to welcome you and the delegation you led to the presidential residence. We highly appreciate your and Luxembourg's support of Armenia in these difficult times and are deeply moved by your support of the Republic of Armenia. Inter-parliamentary cooperation is highly valued in the relations between our countries."

Claude Wiseler, for his part, thanked for the warm reception and noted: "Our relations have a long history. Diplomatic relations between our countries have been established since 1992 and have been going on for more than 30 years. We cooperated very well at the parliamentary level. A good, friendly group was formed, which works effectively.

We had mutual visits, even at the level of executive power. Your foreign minister visited Luxembourg a few months ago, and we had an excellent discussion with him. In the Parliament of Luxembourg, we often talk about Armenia because Armenia is an important country for us," he said.

The meeting discussed agenda issues of close cooperation between Armenia and Luxembourg bilaterally and on the European Union platform. Both sides appreciated the critical role of parliamentary diplomacy in the relations between the two countries and the active cooperation of friendly parliamentary groups.

During the conversation, the President of the Republic emphasized the democratic reforms implemented in Armenia in recent years, pointing out that Armenia is steadily moving along the path of establishing and strengthening democratic institutions and values.

Referring to regional realities, Vahagn Khachaturyan reaffirmed the Republic of Armenia's precise position to achieve stable and lasting peace and form orderly and neighborly relations with all neighbors without preconditions.

During the meeting, President Khachaturyan awarded Claude Wiseler, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Medal of Gratitude for his significant contribution to strengthening and developing friendly ties between Armenia and Luxembourg and protecting humanitarian values.
