Suren Papikyan sent a telegram of condolence to the Minister of Defense of Iran
RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan sent a condolence telegram to the Islamic Republic of Iran's Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, in connection with the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying staff as a result of a helicopter accident. In particular, it is said in the telegram:
"It is with great pain that I learned about the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and their accompanying officials as a result of a helicopter accident on May 19.
As a close and friendly country of the Islamic Republic of Iran, we in the Republic of Armenia received with great pain the news of the untimely tragic death of President Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdolahyan, and other officials. We send our condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims and wish strength and courage to the pious Iranian people.
On behalf of the RA Ministry of Defense and myself, please accept our condolences and support."
