On May 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, in Strasbourg.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the active dynamics of the high-level political dialogue between the two countries, emphasizing the opportunities provided by deepening the partnership both bilaterally and on the EU platform.
The firm steps taken to strengthen democracy and the rule of law in Armenia and the issues of interaction with international partners in this direction were mentioned.
"The government of Armenia is committed to the agenda of both democratic reforms and peace, and the continued support of our international partners is important to ensure tangible progress," said Mirzoyan.
Thoughts were also exchanged on regional economic programs and issues of RA involvement in them, including renewable energy.
Continuing the discussion on regional topics, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Germany discussed the security situation in the South Caucasus. Minister Mirzoyan presented his colleague with the latest developments in the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijani relations, including the negotiations on the draft peace treaty in Almaty.
