RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's working visit to Strasbourg has started. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
Minister Mirzoyan signed the Convention "On the Protection of Human Rights and Dignity in the Application of the Achievements of Biology and Medicine" (Oviedo Convention) in the presence of the Secretary-General of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić.
Since joining the CE, Armenia has signed and ratified 70 CE conventions and acceded to 12 CE partial agreements.
The Oviedo Convention for the Protection of Human Rights in the Field of Biomedicine is the only international legal instrument that defines the principles for protecting human rights in medicine and biological medicine. Armenia is the 37th country to join the convention.
