Alen Simonyan met the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Canadian Parliament
As part of the working visit to the Kingdom of Spain, RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan's delegation met with Greg Fergus, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Canadian Parliament.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties discussed the high-level political dialogue between Armenia and Canada, emphasizing the importance of inter-parliamentary relations.
Alen Simonyan thanked Canada for its continuous support of Armenia on various international platforms.
"Canada is our reliable partner," said the head of the parliament.
Alen Simonyan presented the process of Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations to his Canadian counterpart, reaffirming Armenia's commitment to establishing peace in the South Caucasus.
The interlocutors exchanged ideas on the prospects of closer Armenia-Canada interparliamentary relations and the expansion of cooperation between the staffs of the two parliaments. The role of the Canadian Parliamentary Center was particularly emphasized.
The security situation in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus, Armenia-Turkey regulation, and Armenia-Azerbaijan relations were mentioned.
