The interlocutors referred to the activities of the UN Office in Armenia and the programs implemented by the UN agencies operating in Armenia. The parties expressed readiness to continue active cooperation to effectively implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Armenia.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia presented to his interlocutor in detail the humanitarian issues related to the forcibly displaced people as a result of the ethnic cleansing of the people of Nagorno Karabakh by Azerbaijan. The active involvement of the UN Office in Armenia in addressing the security, humanitarian, socio-economic, educational, and employment problems of forcibly displaced refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh was highlighted.
