"Our goals and interests in terms of regional peace coincide." Tokayev

During his visit to Armenia, the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, stated that activating bilateral relations with Armenia is a joint goal. "Our goals and interests coincide in terms of strengthening regional and international peace and security," he said, reminding us that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.

According to the President of Kazakhstan, Armenia is an important and reliable partner in the South Caucasus. "The development potential of our countries' relations has not been fully utilized. We need to look for new directions that will give a new impetus to the increase in the volume of trade," he said, adding that Kazakhstan is ready to increase the volume of Armenia's exports to the milestone of 350 million dollars.

Tokayev also noted that Armenian culture days will be held in Kazakhstan: "I have invited Armenian athletes to participate in the 5th Nomadic Games in Kazakhstan in September of this year."
