On April 8, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, the members of the Standing Committees on Foreign Relations, European Integration, Defense and Security Affairs met with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Committee on Political and Security Affairs of the Council of the European Union, Delphine Pronk.
Welcoming the guests' visit to Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan emphasized the deepening of multi-layered cooperation between Armenia and the EU. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly presented the security situation in the region and the challenges and spoke about Armenia's approaches to the critical issues of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Armenian parliamentarians emphasized the role of the EU civilian observation mission in Armenia in ensuring security in the region. The parties discussed issues related to the development of RA-EU cooperation in several fields. They also referenced the need to start a dialogue on the liberalization of RA-EU visas.
