RA is not interested in the escalation of the situation on the border. RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan announced this publicly, referring to the latest border situation.
"Inciting and finding excuses for new escalations are provocations. These irregular shootings are incomprehensible to us. We tell the whole world that we want to build peace, and the Azerbaijani side assures us that they do too, and then such incidents happen," Mirzoyan noted.
According to him, Azerbaijan's and Armenia's ideas differ on two main issues of the peace treaty: territorial integrity, border demarcation, and the unblocking of infrastructure.
"It is also strange for me that when we want to refer to the Alma-Ata declaration in the draft agreement, we see Azerbaijan's reluctance," he said.
