Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Serbia

On April 3, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Serbia were held in Belgrade. The Armenian delegation was headed by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan, and the Serbian by Goran Aleksic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

The interlocutors reflected on a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations, in particular, the expansion of the bilateral legal treaty field, the development of inter-parliamentary ties, as well as the importance of revitalizing ties in trade, economy, culture, education, tourism, and other fields.

The parties discussed cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as several issues of the regional and global agenda.

The meeting also touched on the normalization process of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the latest developments in the Western Balkans. Deputy Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented to the interlocutor the RA positions on critical regional issues, as well as the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the RA government.

Within the framework of the visit, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan was also received by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic.
