Within the SDG regional forum organized by the UN European Economic Commission, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan met with UNECE Executive Secretary and UN Deputy Secretary-General Tatiana Molchan.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed Armenia-UN cooperation, the effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Armenia, and the progress and prospects of programmatic cooperation with the UN European Economic Commission in that direction.
The parties discussed the prospects of active cooperation in the direction of comprehensive and inclusive development of transport infrastructure in Armenia and the region and the realization of economic potential. In that context, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the European Economic Commission's legal, expert, and technical support.
The deputy minister presented the "Crossroads of Peace" program developed by the RA government to his colleague in detail. Reference was made to cooperation in the direction of renewable energy, green economy, and environmental protection in Armenia, as well as the implementation of target programs.
