"There was no talk of handing over any village of Tavush." Prime Minister (VIDEO)

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the issue of the return of 4 enclave villages to Azerbaijan. He noted that there was never any discussion about handing over any Tavush village, and there could never be any. "When the names of villages are mentioned in the Azerbaijani press, there have never been villages with such names in the territory of Armenia. Moreover, not only in Soviet times but also after that," he said.

According to the Prime Minister, it is necessary to proceed from the de jure existing realities. Pashinyan also spoke about border demarcation and demarcation works, stressing that he does not rule out that the delimitation process can start with Tavush, "And when making decisions about this process, we must proceed from a comprehensive analysis of the realities and the situation."

He said that he would visit the Tavush region to learn about possible problems there. "As of now, we have no decisions. But let's manage this general process with that logic."
