"I'm not optimistic that we can integrate into the unified electricity market of the EAEU." said the deputy minister.

The Deputy Minister of Energy and Energy, Hakob Vardanyan, referred to the prospects of launching a common electricity market in the EAEU.

"I am not very optimistic that after the launch of the common electricity market, we can fully integrate into that market just because we don't have a common border with that market. Imagine if an electricity supplier or consumer operating in the Republic of Armenia finds electricity at a good price on the stock exchange or has the opportunity to sell it. However, there is still one country in between that needs regulatory regulation. In other words, you cannot sign an online deal without an agreement with Georgia, and the regime in Georgia cannot always allow it. In this regard, our integration into the market will be difficult," said the deputy minister.
