"Armenia is discussing various issues." Armen Grigoryan on applying for EU membership

"We expect the CSTO to recognize the limits of its responsibility. Our region is 29,800 square kilometers and has borders with Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Iran. As long as the CSTO does not recognize this issue, this issue remains in the air," said SC Secretary Armen Grigoryan in a press conference, referring to Armenia's relations with the CSTO.

Grigoryan answered the question of whether RA is considering applying for EU membership, "Armenia is discussing various issues; there are various issues on the agenda, and we will continue to discuss all existing directions and issues."

Referring to the possibility of removing Russian border guards from Zvartnots airport, he noted, "Armenia has a clear position on this issue, and the Russian Federation was informed about this clear position in an official letter." Grigoryan detailed Armenia's position: "Armenia, the border guard troops of Armenia must perform full service at the Zvartnots airport."

According to Grigoryan, "Armenia was gaining capabilities in various directions during the period of independence, and at the moment, Armenia can fully control the airport."
