On March 4, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias, who is on an official visit to Armenia. The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the high level of political dialogue between the two countries, emphasizing the expansion of cooperation in various fields of mutual interest. In this context, the RA Prime Minister's recent visit to Greece and the role of high-level reciprocal visits in continuously enriching the bilateral agenda were mentioned.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Greece discussed issues related to the deepening of the RA-EU partnership, emphasizing the importance of maximum use of the existing mechanisms and perspectives. Ideas were exchanged on the possibilities of interaction in different formats.
Reference was also made to regional topics. Ararat Mirzoyan presented the latest discussions in normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and RA positions on critical issues. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized RA's efforts to establish lasting stability and peace in the South Caucasus, adding that achieving this goal requires clearly expressed commitment from both sides.
For his contribution to the development of relations between Armenia and Greece, including during his tenure as the Foreign Minister of Greece, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia awarded Nikos Dendias with the Order of Friendship of Armenia.
