The issue of Russian border guards at "Zvartnots" airport worries us, like most of the public. That issue is on the agenda of our political team." Artur Hovhannisyan, the secretary of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly, announced this today during the parliamentary briefings.
"That issue is on the agenda of our political team. Discussions are taking place. As a result of the discussions, when there are decisions, we will all know about those decisions in an institutional way," said Hovhannisyan.
According to Hovhannisyan, the public is also worried about the ruling political team, which is discussed in that context.
The MP answered the question of whether the option of expelling them or increasing the number is being discussed.
"I think that the worries of our public are not related to the fact that the number of border guards is small, but to the fact that the border guards have a number."
According to Artur Hovhannisyan, many realities emerged during the six years, and therefore, each reality should bring certain judgments, decisions, and actions.
"With the same logic, unfortunately, we realized late that the CSTO security structure is not working. But this does not mean anything. This means that there is a problem at the moment; it is necessary to go and solve it," added the deputy.
