Armen Khachatryan, a deputy of the KP faction of the National Assembly, referred to the presence of Russian border guards in Nerkin Hand.
"Perhaps you have forgotten that there was a 44-day war in 2020 after peacekeeping troops were brought into the territory of Artsakh; after that, the Russian contingent moved to Syunik to solve security issues," he said in response to the question of how it turned out that there are Russian border guards in Inner Hand.
"Depending on the situation, yes, it happened like that, but now a study is being done to answer all the legal issues, including who has what mandate and where," he said.
According to the deputy, the studies will be carried out jointly with the Ministry of Defense, the National Security Service, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "All legal issues will be studied. Who has what obligation, where he can be, and where it ends."
Remember that during the NA-government question-and-answer session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said there is no mandate or contract for the presence of Russian border guards.
