The press service of the National Assembly reported that members of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly met with Vasilis Maragos, Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia.
Heghine Khachikyan, deputy chief of staff of the RA NA, and Silya Kasman, deputy head of the cooperation department of the EU delegation in RA, also participated in the meeting held on February 29.
Vassilis Maragos presented the programs implemented in various fields in Armenia with the support of the European Union and their progress. The ambassador noted with satisfaction that 550 million of the 2.6 billion euro support package planned for Armenia under the EU economic and investment program has already been allocated. In parallel with this, the reforms carried out by budget support programs continue.
According to Vasilis Maragos, the EU is also trying to implement such projects that will create opportunities and added value in the field of employment in Armenia. The Armenian parliamentarians valued the RA-EU cooperation and emphasized the effectiveness of the programs implemented in our country with the support of the EU. At the meeting, reference was made to the new priorities of the existing RA-EU partnership.
