The French Minister of Defense, Sebastien Lecornu, referred to the Armenian-French cooperation in the military sphere.
"I must emphasize comprehensive advisory support in the direction of defense reforms, the field of military education, the direction of rapidly developing exercises, and, of course, the modernization of the Armed Forces and defense means and military-technical cooperation," said the minister.
According to him, there will be a permanent military adviser in Armenia. "We must direct the air defense and all other programs we conduct along the path of reform."
Lecornu also noted that the training process for Armenian soldiers will begin this year.
"During your visit to Paris, you signed the first assortment for sale—night vision devices. You received the first batch yesterday evening. The batch of "Bastion" cars will be delivered soon. I will not go into too much detail about what equipment will come. Still, they are of defensive significance because protecting the population and the borders is a priority in this region. "No one can criticize the Armenian army for increasing and strengthening its defense capabilities," he said.
According to the Minister of Defense of France, they are ready to provide if Armenia needs anti-aircraft missiles. "If Armenia needs it, short, medium, and other long missiles will also be at your disposal."
