"France has consented to the delivery of defense military equipment to Armenia." Macro
During a joint statement with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron, it was stated that Armenia can count on France's support.
"You can count on France's support for Armenia, its independence, territorial integrity, democratic process, and aspirations for peace," Macron said.
According to him, France expresses regret for Azerbaijan's disproportionate retaliatory strike in Syunik, as a result of which the Armenian side had four victims and one wounded.
"France will continue to support efforts for a just and lasting peace. We can achieve this by respecting international law, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of borders. Azerbaijan must eliminate the ambiguity. Conscientious work should be done in border demarcation, which will serve as a basis for withdrawing forces from both sides of the border," Macron said.
He added that France will continue to develop cooperation with Armenia in the field of defense.
