On February 16, a joint session of the Constitutional Reforms Council and the Commission was held at the RA Ministry of Justice.
The agenda of the session included questions regarding the organization of the further work of the Council and the Commission, the features of the new Constitution or changes to the Constitution, the internal structure and model of the Constitution, as well as the conceptual directions previously presented by Council member Vigen Kocharyan and not yet discussed.
During the session, the Council members listened to the Commission's report on constitutional amendments and the international experience of adopting new constitutions, after which a discussion took place.
The session's agenda included other issues related to making the Council's work more systematic and periodic. In this context, based on the fact that the decision of the Prime Minister created the Council, it was suggested to organize a discussion with the Prime Minister's participation to exchange ideas on the future directions of the constitutional reform process.
The Council decided to address the substantive issues on the agenda at the next session.
